Karafyllidis Vasilis

He was born in Alexandroupolis in 1973. He attended photography courses of the Prefectural Committee for Popular Education in Alexandroupolis with Michalis Boliakis as his teacher. He studied photography at the Dimitreli School in Thessaloniki and since 1996 he has been running a photography studio in Alexandroupolis. From 1998 to 2004 he was an associate of the Athens and Macedonian News Agency.

He has been the Director of Photography in 25 documentaries directed by Despina Pantazi and Haris Donia. He attended film and directing seminars by Yannis Hatzigiogas and Paschalis Xanthopoulos, as well as photography seminars by Nikos Economopoulos and Haris Kakarouchas. He is one of the founding members of the Centre for Creative Photography Thrace.
