Giannakidis Theodosis

Born in Alexandroupolis, Giannakidis Theodosis studied at the Technical University of Xanthi and did his postgraduate studies in the UK, and started photography after university, attending classes at the NELE of Alexandroupolis. Since 1995 he has been working with black and white photography and the "classic" 135mm format. In recent years he has been working with medium and large format.
He is a founding member of the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace based in Alexandroupolis, he was president from 2007 to 2014 and has organized many seminars and presentations of Greek and foreign photographers.
His work on "Alexandroupolis : Spaces between memory and the stone" has been presented at the Athens Photo festival 2010, and the "Michael Cacoyannis Foundation" in 2011. He participated in the exhibition "Terra Thrakia" which was presented at the PhotoBiennale 2014 at the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography. Part of his work was presented at the Athens Photo festival 2015 in the group exhibition entitled "The photographic time of nostalgia".
