The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace in the "DELTA TV" Newscast
The exhibition "After the Fire" of the members of the Centre of Creative Photography of Thrace.
The photographic artwork entitled 'After the Fire' by the Thrace Centre for Creative Photography is a profound and emotional account of the devastating fire in Evros, recognised as the largest forest fire in Greece. The photographs in the project document the despair and destruction caused by the fire, while also highlighting the resilience and hope that emerged from the disaster.
With an estimated 962,000 hectares burned, the Ebro fire left not only a landscape of ash and debris, but also a deep sense of loss in the community. After the Fire attempts to capture this dual nature of destruction and rebirth. Photographs show the flames consuming untamed, smoky ruins, but also the first signs of revival and the human effort to rebuild.
Visitors to After the Fire will be able to experience the harsh reality of natural disaster and the next day of rebirth, reflect on the effects of climate change and appreciate the beauty that can emerge from even the most devastating conditions.
