The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace, continuing its creative course and following the philosophy of continuous renewal and evolution, has implemented the photographic project entitled "Images of Silk".

The photographers of the Centre, using photography as a means of creative expression, have photographed silk.

The journey from mulberry to silk hides stories and moments uniquely captured by the photographic lens. Works of art from another world - parallel to the one we experience.

The photographic artworks have been printed on silk. The photographs are exhibited, bringing the public into contact with a 'double' work of art. The silk, a 100% organic product, and the images of the entire production process.

The photographers: Nikos Andreadakis, Giannis Gkogkos, Christina Gkousiou, Ilias Grigoriadis, Georgia Dimitriou, Nikos Zoakis, Dimosthenis Karageorgiou, Michalis Boliakis, Giannis Boultadakis, Ilias Papadakis, Katerina Papapanagiotou, Gioula Patsi, Aneza Spanopoulou, Tzoulia Tsiridou.

The aim of the project is to allow the general public to discover and get to know the art of silk through the art of photography, through the images created by the photographers. Specifically, the photographic exhibition will be presented in Soufli, the capital of silk, and in Alexandroupolis.

The aim of this project is to promote the art of silk and its contemporary expression through the art of photography.

The result of the project will be presented to the general public through two photographic exhibitions which will be held "with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture".
