About

The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace was founded in June 2007 by a group of 22 people, united by their common interest and love for artistic photography. The aim of the centre is the promotion, cultivation and development of art and in particular the art of photography.

It is registered in the Register of Cultural Institutions of the Ministry of Culture, the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the Municipality of Alexandroupolis.

Already after seventeen years the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace has about 120 regular members, not including visitors who participate in activities of the association open to the general public.

Facilities
Members' meetings are held in a rented space at 9 Miaouli Street in Alexandroupolis with audiovisual equipment (projectors, computers, etc.) for the implementation of actions (regular meetings of members, workshops, seminars) are privately owned.
Also in the same area there is a lending library, with more than 200 books - albums whose subject matter concerns photography. The books are offers of the members or acquired with own funds.

Equipment
ΤThe Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace has its own production equipment such as a projector, computer, film developing machines and a darkroom.
