Exhibitions

Since it first opened, the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace has hosted a number of group photography exhibitions in Alexandroupolis and other nearby cities. It has also supported a number of solo exhibitions by photographers from Thrace. The annual photography exhibition by members of the centre has become a highlight of the cultural events in Alexandroupolis, taking place every summer for the past eighteen years.

• August 11, 2009, "Travelling within and beyond borders" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The association's exhibition was held as part of the "Train of Culture" action at the Art Gallery. 

• June 2010, "Land and Water" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held as part of the "Culture Train" action at Farou Alexandroupolis Square. 

• July 30 - August 7, 2011, "Portraits of the city" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the area of ​​Faros square. 

• August 24 - September 2, 2012, "Sea" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Evros Regional Unit, within the framework of the "Train of Culture" action, in the area of ​​Faros square. 

• April 12 - 21, 2013, "Terra Thrakia". The exhibition of the project of the same name was held for the first time at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis in collaboration with the Archeophiles and Cultural Heritage Association of Evros Prefecture. 

• July 12 - 21, 2013, "Urban Landscape" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Lighthouse square in collaboration with the Evros Chamber. 

• 20 - 27 July 2014, "My surroundings" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli.

• June 9 - 18, 2017, "Photography Never Lies" by Gerontakos Vassilis, Detsis Akis, Mytas Dimitris, Ordolis Kostas. The exhibition was held at the Municipal Library of Alexandroupoli. 

• June 17 - 27, 2017, "Looking for the lost homeland" by Pavlos Kozalides (Benakis Museum Photo Archive). The exhibition was held at the "Art Gallery" of Alexandroupoli. 

• July 1 - 10, 2017, "Evros aerially and vertically" by Sotiris Zoakis. The exhibition was held at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupoli. 

• 15 - 23 July 2017, "Port" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli. 

• December 6, 2017, "Port" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Port of Alexandroupolis as part of the celebration of the city's patron saint, St Nicholas, organised in collaboration with the Alexandroupolis Port Authority.

• January 28 - February 16, 2018, "The gaze of eternity" by Ilias Bourgiotis. The exhibition was held at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupoli.

• July 13 - 21, 2019, "New Perspective" of the new members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli. 

• July 25 - August 2, 2020, "Night" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli. 

• July 12 - July 18, 2021, "8 Monologues - Dialogues" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli.

The exhibition was held at the Spiritual Center of the Municipality of Ioannina, in Ioannina, as part of the Photometria photography festival, a group photography exhibition of 20 photographic groups of the "ENTEFXIS" network. 

• July 18 - July 24, 2022, "Ah... My Sea" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held in the forecourt of the Prefecture, in Alexandroupoli. 

• September 24 - October 2, 2022, "Ah... My Sea" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Spiritual Center of the Municipality of Ioannina, in Ioannina as part of the Photometria photography festival, a group photography exhibition of 23 photographic groups of the "ENTEFXIS" network. 

• October 5 - October 9, 2022, "Rhodope" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Tobacco Warehouse - Cultural Cell of the Municipality of Komotini in Komotini, with the financial support and patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. 

• October 14 - October 18, 2022, "Rhodope" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Evros Prefecture Art Exhibition Center in Alexandroupoli, with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. 

• October 19 - October 23, 2022, "Rhodope" of the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Fidelio Spiritual Center in Samothraki, with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

• January 28 - February 4, 2023, "Hope for All – Students photograph Evros" by the students of the Soufli High School curated and organized by the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Evros Prefecture Art Exhibition Center in Alexandroupoli, in collaboration with Canon Hellas within the framework of Canon's Young People Programme. 

• 08 July - 15 July 2023, "RHODOPE: A Mountain Range Fifteen Photographers" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Evros Prefecture Art Exhibition Center in Alexandroupoli. 

• 01 December - 06 December 2023, "Images from Silk" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Museum of Silk Art in Soufli. With the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. 

• 08 December - 10 December 2023, "RHODOPE: A Mountain Range Fifteen Photographers" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at iFocus Gallery in Athens. 

• December 15 - December 20, 2023, "Images from Silk" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Evros Prefecture Art Exhibition Center in Alexandroupoli. With the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. 

• January 20 - January 26, 2024, "The Eye of the Road" of the members of the Photographic Association of Edirne (EFOD – Edirne Fotoğraf Sanatı Derneği). The exhibition was held at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis in Alexandroupolis. 

• May 10 - May 19, 2024, "RHODOPE: A Mountain Range Fifteen Photographers" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Edirne, Turkey.

• June 01 & 02, 2024, "Images from Silk" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Edirne, Turkey.  

• June 15 - June 22, 2024, "After the Fire" by the members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Evros Prefecture Art Exhibition Center in Alexandroupolis.

• September 01 -  September 10, 2024, "After the Fire" by the members of the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the historic French Lodging, in the Old Town, Rhodes.

• September 07 - September 11, 2024, "Light and Water" by the members of the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held on the coastal front of Alexandroupolis, at the location of the "Egnatia" turn in the sea below the water surface, in Alexandroupolis.

• September 27 - October 28,  2024, After the Fire" by the members of the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace. The exhibition was held at the Brika Mansion, Soufli in the framework of the Nature Festival 2024.

• September 28 - December 01, 2024, "After the Fire" by the members of the Creative Photography Centre of Thrace. The exhibition was held at Glykides Square, Ioannina Castle, Ioannina, Ioannina in the framework of the Photometria Photography Festival, a group photography exhibition of 19 photography groups of the "ENTEYXIS" network.
