Opening of the photography exhibition "After the Fire" in Rhodes

The opening of the photography exhibition "After the Fire" took place with great success on Sunday 1st September at 19:00, at the historic French Lodging in the Old Town of Rhodes.

The event is part of the 8th Rhodes Festival of Artistic Creation and attracted a large number of visitors who honoured the work of the photographers and explored the stunning images that capture the power of nature and human resilience after the devastating fires.

The exhibition presents the work of the Thrace Centre for Creative Photography and the Niki Spartali Photography Workshop, who captured with deep emotion and artistic sensitivity the disasters that occurred in Evros, Rhodes and Evia.

The participating photographers, including Christos Alexakis, Nikos Andreadakis, Yannis Gogos, Christina Gousiou, Elias Grigoriadis, Georgia Demetriou, Nikos Zoakis, Giannis Kalcheras, Margarita Karpathaki, Nikos Kaseris, Vassilya Kefalas, Giorgos Kouvalakis, Christos Kouroudis, Nikos Kopsias, Michalis Boliakis, Yannis Bultadakis, Elias Bourgiotis, Dimitris Xepapadakos, Ioanna Economou, Elias Papadakis, Anna Paraskevidou, Aneza Spanopoulou, Niki Spartali, Irini Stavra and Irini Tsokataridou, managed to transport the visitors to the places they photographed, creating an atmosphere of deep emotion and contemplation.

The exhibition was curated with special care by Nikos Kaseri and Michalis Boliakis, who highlighted the art of photography as a means of awakening and reflection. Visitors had the opportunity to converse with the artists and share their thoughts and feelings, creating a lively dialogue on resilience and regeneration after the disaster.

"After the Fire" will remain open to the public until 10 September 2024, daily from 10:00 to 13:00 and 18:00 to 20:00.
