Photography Exhibition: "MATIA²" Summer Cinema "Flisvos" in Alexandroupolis

The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace is participating in the 6th AXD Film Festival with a special photography exhibition entitled “MATIA² (Look at the Square)”, which will be hosted at the “Flisvos” Summer Cinema from from June 13 to 16, 2025.

As part of the 6th AXD Film Festival, the Thrace Center for Creative Photography presents the group photography exhibition MATIA² (Look at the Square). This photographic journey features works by members of the Center who seek a second glance — one that goes beyond first impressions, observing more deeply and reflecting.

The title MATIA² works symbolically as the multiplied observation—the glance upon glance—where the photographic lens reveals rather than merely records. It is a fresh perspective on familiar subjects or the detection of the silent, the marginal, and the invisible.

As a parallel action of the film festival, the exhibition engages in conversation with the medium of cinema, which is also based on images, rhythms, and performances. Through various approaches, the photographs encourage dialogue, emotional engagement, and reflection.
