Opening of the ARS CREATIO Photography Exhibition

The Center for Creative Photography of Thrace opened the doors of creation.
The opening of the photography exhibition ARS CREATIO by the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace took place with great success on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the former Bank of Greece building, on the seaside avenue of Alexandroupolis. The event attracted a large audience of photography and culture enthusiasts, creating a vibrant atmosphere of dialogue, exchange of ideas, and highly positive impressions.
ARS CREATIO highlighted contemporary photographic expression and the power of collective creation, proposing a meaningful dialogue between image and idea, art and production. Through industrial landscapes, portraits of workers, and scenes from workplaces, the exhibition brought to the forefront a different view of Evros: a place of creation, craftsmanship, and know-how, beyond stereotypes.
At the opening, visitors had the opportunity to tour the exhibition space, engage in conversations with the creators, and experience an artistic narrative that does not idealize, but rather observes and documents everyday reality with respect and clarity. The former Bank of Greece building, with its strong architectural identity, served as an ideal setting for showcasing the exhibition’s content.
Fourteen photographers, members of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace, participate in ARS CREATIO, documenting an unseen yet essential productive world of the region. The participating photographers are: Nikos Andreadakis, Christina Gkousiou, Ilias Grigoriadis, Georgia Dimitriou, Nikos Zoakis, Thomas Kapetanidis, Dimosthenis Karageorgiou, Giorgos Kouvalakis, Drakoulis Koulaxidis, Christos Kouroudis, Lambros Nakos, Katerina Papapanagiotou, Sakis Solomidis and Aneza Spanopoulou.
The exhibition is held with the financial support and under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, under the auspices of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis, and in cooperation with the Association of Crafts and Industries of Evros, highlighting the importance of collaboration between culture, local society, and production.
The photography exhibition ARS CREATIO runs until January 6, 2026, inviting the public to discover creation where it is born every day, through the lens of contemporary photography.
