Two Photography Events in Soufli by the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace and PIOP

The Center for Creative Photography of Thrace, in collaboration with the Piraeus Cultural Foundation (PIOP), is presenting two photography events in Soufli—inviting children, teenagers, and adults to explore the medium, from the fundamentals of light to contemporary image-making and sharing on social media.

1) Photography Workshop for Children: “What’s Hidden Inside the Black Box?”

A hands-on workshop that introduces children to the fascinating world of photography through the construction and use of a pinhole camera (a simple camera made from a box). Through experimentation and creative play, participants learn the basic principles of how cameras and light work, while gaining a first experience of the image-making process.

2) Workshop: “Smartphone Photography and Social Media Exhibitions”

A practical workshop for anyone who wants to use their smartphone creatively: from shooting and composition to basic editing and the “visual language” of social media. We will also discuss how to curate a coherent photo series (a mini exhibition / visual narrative) and what responsible publishing means—usage permissions, author credits, and respect for privacy.
